The process of aging actually begins when you start losing muscle. For women this can begin in your early 40s. It starts slow, you begin to notice loss in muscle definition in your arms and legs, you notice functional losses in day-to-day life like lifting a pet or a child or it can be something as simple as difficulty in opening a jar. Tied into all of this is our joint health. It’s another factor that needs our attention as we age. This along with muscle loss can lead to an uncomfortable way of living that can be avoided!
My guest Dr. Angela Cortal, is a repeat guest on Evolving Ageless! Along with all her insight on anti-aging, she tells us about her exciting new venture, Foundations of Resilience, a creative, telehealth program that helps educate and empower patients to take charge of their joint health.
Here are some of the things we talked about:
- Correlation between aging and losing musclemass
- Benefits of Lifting Weights
- Expansion of Telehealth during Covid
- Regenerating Joints
